Beyond artisan producers getting global distribution opportunities from Amazon, other corporate brands are realizing the appeal of the craft and maker movement. @Dallas_Observer has an interesting story about Barnes & Noble’s new restaurant concept, B&N Kitchen, coming to Plano. Chef Robbie Nowlin says Dripping Springs’ Pure Luck Farm and Dairy will supply the goat cheese for the restaurant’s grapefruit salad.
“We’re trying to keep it really local and cohesive to the area,” he told the Observer. And that includes serving up bread from Dallas’ Village Baking Co. and the bar will have half a dozen local beers from craft brewers such as Community, Revolver and Four Corners.
