The Austin Area Garden Center is a non-profit organization established in 1955 to support Zilker Botanical Garden’s mission to promote the education and love of gardening among people of all ages. Its projects support beautification of the gardens visited yearly by half a million people from around the world. Its education programs reach thousands of school children and adults every year. This garden is a unique collaboration between The City of Austin Parks & Recreation Department (PARD) and the Austin Area Garden Council (AAGC). The garden is open to the public most days year-round and is enjoyed by over 100,000 visitors each year, including thousands of school children from Austin and the surrounding communities.

    What a beautiful place to be. If you’re a fan of nature and hikes I recommend you see it. I missed the fairy exhibit by a day but that is always their best attraction. The prices are reasonable and you can lose yourself in there for hours. Why aren’t you there yet?

    Such a great place. Seemed very reasonably priced. It was a hot day but there was a good amount of shade along the way. Some really pretty picture spots.

    It was a nice decent Garden for the small amount of money we payed. $3.00. My kids enjoy it and we did too. It was soothing just to be around nature. We live in a big city but we are originally from a Caribbean island so, we definitely enjoy the garden and the mini waterfalls. Nice treat… a reminder of home.
