Tara Royer Steele runs this popular place for pies, cookies and “sin-namon rolls” with inspiration from her dad, Round Top’s “Pie Man” Bud Royer.

Located under the oak trees on Henkel Square, Royers Pie Haven is the perfect place to relax with friends for a slice of pie and a cup of coffee.

Sweet pie offerings include the “Not My Mom’s Apple Pie,” “Ann’s Pecan Pie” from former Houston Chronicle food editor Ann Criswell, “Bud’s Chocolate Chip Pie,” and the “Texas Trash Pie” that’s filled with coconut, chocolate chips, graham crackers, pretzels and caramel.

On the savory side, try the “Veggie Pie” or the “Hee Haw Pie” that’s filled with egg, sausage, bacon, jalapeños, onions and cheddar cheese. Other pies include the “Margherita Chicken Pizza Pie,” and a chicken pot pie and shepherd’s pie.
